Guidelines and Strategies:
A Reflection Paper is designed to invite the student to provide an in-depth written examination
of one Harvard Business Review (HBR) assigned article. This written reflection paper is in
response to one or more of the following questions:
1. Describe in detail specifics around an experience with rewards and punishments as
accountability. Was it effective? How would you do something different?
2. Describe in detail a person you have led and describe a time you used rewards and
punishments -or- positive accountability. What were the results?
3. Describe a time you experienced positive accountability or strategic nonintervention.
What were the results?
