Find a recent article (within the last six months) that discusses prices (inflation), employment/unemployment, or output (GDP/Real GDP).
BusinessWeek, The Economist, and The Wall Street Journal are good magazines to find articles. Do look closely at the date of the article so that is current. Each student submission needs to be a unique source article (cannot be an article that another student has posted which will be points deduction). Check other students’ posts before you post your article.
Use the format below to report and discuss your chosen article and then discuss/respond to TWO of your classmate’s articles.
Each reply to another students’ posts is 4 points each for a total of 8 points with the original post worth 12 points.
Write using standard English grammar and punctuation.
1. Summary of article: one paragraph (several sentences)
2. Analysis (1-2 sentences per bullet point)
Specify: What is the economic concept in the article?
Elaborate: How does this article illustrate the concept?
Personal: How does this relate to your own personal experience?
Application: How can you apply this concept?
3. Reference your article in APA format which can be found at Purdue OWL.
