Please respond to the following:
Why do people usually have the need to classify a person as male or female?
In certain areas of the United States, a specific etiquette is expected. People are expected to address their elders as sir or maam. This is a cultural norm.
How do we address this now with the new honorifics (titles) available to use?
Parents are the first agent of socialization for their children. Should parents dress their new baby according to his/her sex, or should they wait to see the gender that the child chooses and dress the baby in neutral colors until then?
What did you think about Audreys thoughts about gender being fluid? Should we do away with gendered restrooms so a person does not have to feel uncomfortable with his/her choice or might this make others uncomfortable? How do we find a solution appropriate for all?
