As you have seen throughout this course, there are several theories and corresponding psychological research that help us to better understand employee motivation and satisfaction in the workplace. This week, you will complete a case study assignment consisting of a narrative at least 750 words in length. In this case study assignment, you will apply theory and research from psychology to an employee’s behavior, motivation, and satisfaction in the workplace and explain how you would use this knowledge to improve the employee’s performance.
When writing your narrative, you should use information from the course lectures and conduct your own scholarly research on the topics. For your research, you should utilize Google Scholar and the Bryant & Stratton College Virtual Library. Make sure to include APA style citations and a reference list with at least two scholarly sources.
To begin, select one case study from Appendix A at the end of this document. This case study will serve as the basis of your written narrative. Then in your written narrative:
• Choose at least two theories and detail how research from psychology relates to the employee’s behavior, motivation, and satisfaction in the workplace in your chosen case study.
o For example, a few theories you might choose from are: Vroom’s expectancy theory, dissonance theory, and reinforcement theory. An example of a particular area of research would be work-life balance, which relates to job satisfaction.

• Explain how you would use the knowledge gained from theory and research in psychology to improve the employee’s performance in your chosen case study.
• Conclude your narrative with a personal experience or example. Apply your knowledge of psychological theory and research to your own motivation or performance at work. Describe how you can improve your own motivation, satisfaction, and performance in the workplace using the knowledge you have gained from this course.
• Include APA style citations throughout your narrative and a reference list at the end with at least two outside scholarly resources.
