Your research paper must be a literary analysis of one of the assigned readings
Your thesis statement must be clear and arguable and supported throughout your paper. I want to see the thesis statement within the first paragraph, as the last sentence.
You should avoid unnecessary biographical information and plot summary. Your paper should be an analysis of the text.
As you analyze the information, make sure you employ a consistent third person point of view. Do not use first (I), or second person pronouns.
Use of Research
You must use at least one (1) secondary source that provides critical arguments about the reading youve chosen. These sources should ONLY come from the scholarly sources.
Your secondary sources should be used sparingly to either support or explain your thesis.

Do not forget to add your in-text citations. If you do not provide in-text citation, you should not have a works cited page. MLA Style
Your paper must be formatted according to MLA format.
You must include a works-cited page at the end of your paper. Your works-cited page should include your secondary sources and the textbook for the course.
You must include in-text citations within the body of your paper.
Your paper must be double spaced.
Your paper must have a title.
Your paper must have the proper heading to the left of the paper.
The beginning of each paragraph must be indented.

Once you turn in your paper, if it shows that more than 30% is highlighted in red; go through and make changes.
