Write an essay comparing these two events and try and highlight not only their significance in the history of the World Cup, but how these two tournaments were essential for the development of Soccer in South America. How did each event affect the home country in terms of its infrastructure and development? What were the key factors in terms of rivalries and politics during each event? Who were the key figures on and off the pitch in Uruguay and Brazil? We have poorer archival evidence for these games than modern games is there anything from the on the pitch descriptions of the games that interested you?
