Hello Alicia,
Setting SMART goals is one of the more important aspects of earning a grade each term. The goals should be specific and measurable. For example, having approval from your chair for your prospectus or having approval from the program director for your prospectus by the end of the term, are measurable goals.

Great post Alicia, how did your research questions evolve during the research process? Good research typically travels a long, meandering road. Rarely is it a straight line. They are evaluating your capacity to go that route and let the research process take its course. They’ll want to know specifically how the literature review approach affected your ability to define the goals, objectives, and research questions for your study. For instance, you might have begun with a particular set of objectives, but as you became more and more engrossed in the literature, you might have altered course. In some cases, you may have discovered some unexpected information during your early fieldwork discoveries, which prompted you to revise or broaden your original research questions.
