1. Develop a “Weekly” tab which will show your beginning inventory in dollars and, on a weekly basis, the value of product produced (added) and sold (removed) to provide a running
listing of On hand inventory level in dollars. To detemine space requirements, you will need to convert this weekly “Inventory Balance” into a Square Foot metric so that you can compare it to your available space.
Your run chart should compare the forecasted On Hand inventory requirements with your existing available space, at the 85% capacity level. The resulting table should
indicate if/when you will run out of existing space and allow you the ability to forecast how much additional space you will need and how long you will need it.
2. You will also be able to forecast the transportation expense required to move the product to your offsite facility. For this, create an additional tab to show the forecasted freight expenses by month.
