Section 5 Experiment Guide The Waveform in Raven
This week we will study only the waveform as an introduction to the analysis
program, RAVEN. The waveform is a plot of the pressure variations that occur over
time regarding the sound that is being looked at. Note that the pressure units used
here are arbitrary (kU), though the larger the variation the more intense the sound is
in general. The horizontal axis is time and is displayed in either seconds (s) or
milliseconds (ms) depending on your zoom levels.
