Guidelines for Systems Implementation Assignment
In this assignment, you are required you to read a case study and write and submit an analysis of
the case based on your understanding of the issues and possible strategies that you have
identified for problem resolution.
You must submit a 1000 to 1500 word written report in as Microsoft Word file by the deadline
specified in Blackboard.
The case will be graded based on the Integrated Systems Implementation Rubric, available on
BBL.
The Case Study Information
Please read the “Delivering Business Value with IT at Hefty Hardware” Mini Case from the
textbook, and answer the following questions:
1) Overall, how effective is the partnership between IT and the business at Hefty Hardware?
Identify the shortcomings of both IT and the business.
2) Develop a plan for how IT and the business can work collaboratively to deliver the Savvy
Store program successfully.
3) Implement the plan using Balanced Score Card (BSC) framework. To do this:
a) Define the goal(s) associated with the plan from each of the BSC perspectives.
b) Recommend the measure(s) for each goal.
(Hint: You can find an example in the article, titled “The Balanced Scorecard: Measures
That Drive Performance,” under additional resources for Chapter 3. Please do not limit
yourself to the format shown in the article. Please feel free to use any other format for
representing your proposed BSC that you would find appropriate for your answer.)
4) The CEO of the company is considering a significant expansion of the global presence of the
