Question Description I’m studying and need help with a Chemistry question to help me learn. The main purpose of this assignment is to develop writing skills through the process of learning and understanding chemistry of elements. Please choose any one element from the periodic table and briefly (within 1-2 pages) write a paper about that element including the following topics of discussion. Your article must include the following topics about the element the element of your choice: • Discovery and source of the element (the historical background) • Method of obtaining the element from nature and its properties • Electron configuration and oxidation state of the element • Compounds and bonding of the element • Any application of the pure element or any of its compounds • Any recent interesting research (within last 5 years) with the element or any of its compound The grading rubric will be as follows: Organization: 2 points (Overall presentation of your article, headings, title, within page limit, free of typos) Reserch and creativity: 3 points (How well you did research on this element) Content: 4 points (Each topic and its relevance) References: 1 point (Citation of refered websites, articles etc). You can follow any format but be consistent with the formatting of the reference.
