Description pls read and look at the file Here is what I will have you do, I would say just focus on the drop-off time for each car and comparing the regulated to the unregulated data sets. What I will have you do is to find the mean of the regulated vs the unregulated data sets and do a 2-sided, independent, t-test that compares the means to each other. The null hypothesis of this test will be the unregulated test mean. Do this t-test of the mean of regulated vs unregulated to see if they are equal with a level of significance of 5%. Also look at the means of the data and see if which set has the lower mean of drop-off time. For the degrees of freedom, just interpolate based on the chart and our level of significance to the correct critical t-value in the chart on the front of the “testing null hypothesis” handout he gave to us. Also create a scatter plot of each of the data sets by themselves and together and make a line of best fit for the data. I am not sure of what else you may be able to do, perhaps testing with an F-test and see if the variances of the data are equal with a 5% level of significance. Set the numerator as the unregulated data set and the denominator as the regulated data set. If you do that F-Test you will have to interpolate a large distance from the given information since the degrees of freedom is only up to 20 on the numerator and we have 60+ data points for the unregulated set. This should be enough for our report to show that we used stuff from class to help provide the information needed for the paper.
