Your work throughout Strategy Execution will culminate in a capstone activity. During the course, we will ask you to analyze and apply concepts through the lens of a business you know wellperhaps your current place of employment, or a place of recent employment. In the capstone, you will draw upon this work to perform a comprehensive evaluation of strategy execution practices at this business. Here is an overview of what you can expect:
First, you will respond to a set of prompts in the platform that will help you comprehensively assess the effectiveness of the strategy execution choices made at the business youve selected, using concepts and frameworks introduced in the course.
Then, you will write a brief, 300- to 500-word proposal outlining solutions to what you identify as the businesss most pressing strategy execution challenge.
Finally, you will send your proposal to a colleague or peer and meet with them to discuss their feedback. (We will provide instructions on setting this up.) You will be asked to reflect on their feedback and identify changes you might make to your proposal, but you will not need to revise it and resubmit your proposal unless you wish to do so.
The capstone is neither a formal assessment nor a final exam, and your work will not be graded. Instead, the capstone is intended to be a learning aid for you and your peers an opportunity to pull together and apply the knowledge you gained in the course. No outside preparation or research will be required; if you complete all of the course requirements in a timely and attentive manner, you will be positioned to complete the capstone activity successfully.
Note that we scan all Capstone responses for plagiarism. We expect that your executive summary will be written in your own words, and that you will cite any outside sources you reference. Copying and pasting text from the internet or other sources without a proper citation may result in you being deemed ineligible for your Certificate of Completion.
