Forced participation of prisoners sentenced to death in conducting medical research to develop medications or vaccines is claimed by some pharmaceutical companies (group A) to be necessary for saving many lives. On the other hand, lot of people and human right organizations (group B) believe that this practice is against respecting human rights and dignity. After conducting more research about this topic, answer the following questions: Question 1: (40 points)

Q1: a) 1- Developing a medication or vaccination on human beings gives a better result than developing them on animals, and prisoners should sacrifice to equate for the people they hurt before. 2- The prisoners are already facing a death sentence and will die eventually at least their death can contribute in helping alive human beings. b) 1- It violates human rights to force a person into something he did not agree on in the end it is his body and the choice belongs to him. 2- Being sentenced for death for prisoners does not give anyone the right to decide for them while they are alive. Q2: a) Prisoners that are facing a death sentence are already on their way to death so why not use their death for development in medication and helping other human beings that are struggling. The fact that they are death sentenced make them the best choice among other people. b) Being sentenced for death does not mean you have the ability to mistreat or disrespect prisoners choices and decisions. In the end they are human as we are and they should agree on what happens to them. Q3: a) A financial compensation is a great deal and solution for the prisoners and their families in this case. Since their contribution is beneficial and will have a great impact then it deserves to be appreciated. b) Instead of forcing prisoners give them the choice to volunteer and participate in such cases and for sure there will be volunteers and at least in this way it is not against their will. Q4: – To me, i disagree with group A and strongly agree with group B. Human rights are important and to be forced in doing something against our will is an act of abuse and it is not and never will be right. As long as we are alive we are the only ones that should decide what happens to us and our bodies. A person should always have the right too choose and be free with his choices and not forced into it. This saves us our dignity and it is important.
