The sickle cell anemia has a history of research for over 100
years. Its exists within many
populations [Africans, Mediterraneans, and Asians].
Here is the question:
The gene still exists, and the
question is why; if the gene for sickle causes the male to experience
infertility why isn’t the gene not eradicated from the populations that it
affects?
