Compose an essay in which you discuss your relationship with writing and the writing process. This is a reflection essay, so writing in first person voice is appropriate. Discussion points you might want to consider using are as follows: ? Do you consider yourself a strong writer? Explain your strengths and weaknesses as a writer. ? Do you enjoy writing? Why or why not? ? What is the piece of writing you’ve accomplished that you’re most proud of? ? How do you go about deciding what to write when undertaking a writing project? ? How do you go about deciding how to organize your writing? ? What does the phrase “rough draft” mean to you? ? How do you know when you’re finished, when you’ve done the best you can do as a writer? ? How do you know “good writing” when you see it, including your own? The ideas above are merely suggestions and not requirements. Don’t be afraid to share your genuine feelings about writing. Whatever points you decide to include in your reflection, please make sure that the paper is in traditional essay form and that it has an introduction and conclusion, an organizational scheme, and a central point around which the essay revolves (a thesis). You should also be sure to edit and proofread the essay. Your essay should be from 1.5 – 3 pages.
