Proposal
A. Our research paper will discuss the relevance of Organizational Deviance, which are behaviors
that threaten the well-being of an organization. Furthermore, we plan to discuss how to prevent
organizational deviance so that the behaviors of employees align with the culture, the norm,
and goals of businesses. This is an important topic in Organizational Behavior because knowing
what it is and how to prevent it can enable businesses to obtain great cohesion within its
organization. Therefore, we will analyze different types of organizational deviance and possible
reasons why it does occur. We will also discuss the benefits of applying certain preventions and
theories relating to deviance (Merton’s Typology of Deviance; Strain Theory).
