As part of your course assessment, you will have to submit a short 2,000-word assessed essay, which will count towards 25% of your final mark. Otherwise, all rules of proper academic writing should be followed, in terms of proper citing, referencing, and formatting. Clearly, no form of plagiarism will be tolerated! Students should consult university guidelines on what constitutes plagiarism. Moreover, students are given the chance to submit up to two drafts before the final deadline. Feedback will be provided within at most weeks allowing students to improve their essay and achieve a higher grade. Finally, late submissions will be marked down with the grade penalty increasing in the number of days of submission past the official deadline. What I will be looking for in this essay is a solid argument, sound structure (with proper citations and indentation), some original thinking (without expecting of course a significant amount of original research), and some form of empirical corroboration of your argument (either through des?r?ptive statistics or qualitative / anecdotal evidence).
