costume designer would need to research not just the clothing style but the fabric,
color patterns and tailoring symmetry. The folks portrayed by the lead actor and

the two lovers was bigger than that of the observer thereby showing the audience the

separation between the characters and objects in the setting created by the set
designers. In the scene where Tom was riding back to his house, the image shown
represented this technique as the audience was able to see the beauty of the lawns and
rich lifestyle lived by Tom and Daisy.
