Principles of Empowerment
As a new nurse manager, you realize that hiring staff is only the beginning. An ongoing challenge is the continuing development of this group of individuals with unique skills and needs. Empowerment strategies are useful tools for managers to acknowledge the decisions and values of staff, and to help them develop their potential. Considering this, please address the following prompts in your discussion:
Apply principles of empowerment and give specific examples of how you would empower your staff.
