Concert 1
Learner Outcome (Course SLO#2): Demonstrate your ability to analyze elements of music, especially genres, melody, rhythm, harmony, form, and expression. Please paste your report; you may also attach it but pasting is best to make sure.
Be sure to discuss two or more specific selections by title and concentrate on the music and performers especially. Give the date, location, and describe the audience and scene like you were reporting – since you are! Even if there is a major star that is the obvious draw, it’s good to include information about their fellow performers on stage (as in the band) if any. It should fill 1-2 pages in a program like Word with double spacing and a font of about 12. Use paragraphs to break up into logical sections and make certain you run a spelling and grammar check since it just takes one click.
Avoid simply turning in a list of songs for example. I want to “see you” in your report so make it like talking. Do not use familiar or crude language though, except if you are quoting. Remember “I” is capitalized since this is school work instead of texting.
Song titles are capitalized and put in quotes. Album titles and things like operas and Broadway shows are also italicized (control + i).
