Topic: Improving Classroom Management through Behavioral Modification

Once a research focus is selected, the vision and target have been clarified, and research questions have been developed, a researcher begins to plan data collection based upon the research questions. Data collection takes on different formats, such as observation, surveys, samples, documents, multimedia materials, assessments, and interviews. This is the fourth step of the action research process. Data provides the researcher with the ability to investigate authentic behaviors, responses, and work samples in an attempt to respond to the research questions.
Write a 500-750 word essay to include the following:

Explain the data collection process and the research considerations for your action research study.
Describe the data collection plan and the rationale for your selected data collection method.

Support your data collection plan with 3-5 scholarly resources.
In addition, use a graphic organizer to display the data collected that aligns to the research questions created in Topic 2.
Prepare this assignment according to the guidelines found in the APA Style Guide, located in the Student Success Center. An abstract is not required.
This assignment uses a rubric. Review the rubric prior to beginning the assignment to become familiar with the expectations for successful completion.

Discussion Question: What processes or procedures would you use to determine if data is valid and reliable for your research project?

Vadility refers to the degree which assessment tool measures what is to measure and reliability refers to how consistenlty the assessment yields the same results (Bradshaw, P 2016).  Classroom management research is important topic as teachers cannot effectively educate students in instructed environment.
Process and procedures for valdility in classroom management that might be considered to use would be to that  purposed to diminish the development of behavioral issues.  There must be strategies in place for classroom management through behavior modification.
The reliability is dependended on how  consistent the Behavior-Specific Processing (BSP) was effective.  There is a Behavior and Emotional Rating Scale (BER) that starts with the child competence, emotional strengths, parents rating scale, and strengths assessement of the behavior.  The strength assessment (SBA) will define the measurement of emotional and behavioral skills in classroom management.
The Behavioral Instructional Management (BIMS) will be considered because it suggest on how teachers manage classroom instruction and behavior (Author and Author 2010).  I will further research more process and procedures to eliminate negative classroom behavior in the school environment.
