The content should be no less than five [5] pages in length [conventional margins, double spaced, 11 point font or its equivalent].  It may be handwritten, computer-generated, or typed.  The paper may conform to MLA or other academic format, but the grade awarded will be based upon content and not format.  It is strongly suggested that students use an electronic database like Lexis Nexis as a resource because of its unique adaptability to the project, but any academic resource may be employed. [Wikipedia is not an acceptable tool.]  A title page and footnotes are entirely discretionary, but a page [exclusive of content] which lists the sources used should be included.  Attribution should be included for the words and ideas of others, and a failure to do so will constitute a form of academic dishonesty known as plagiarism.
