 Bob is going through quite a large change in the mindset of education as a whole. As a teacher, he is at the forefront of setting the stage for the new style of educating. Using the 3rd, 4th, and 5th Orders of Consciousness by Kegan and Lahey, he can help himself adjust to the new outside thinking of preparing the students for the big assessments that are ultimately deciding their fate in moving on. These three stages are vital in allowing yourself to see a  bigger picture. I feel his teaching when he started off was more so a team approach, while after these drastic changes, it will be more of a top down approach. When this new style was created, it started a chain of teaching more bullet points and encouraging remembrance. As physical education was phased out, more and more literature and writing was introduced to the education system, as well as maths and sciences. Bob will need to get used to more power point teaching, rather than discussion based teaching. He will eventually learn how to make power points that will allow him to involve more of his class.
