New Technology in Work art
Art is an age-old way of communicating in human society. Individuals use literature and
the performing arts to entertain and also to voice concerns that currently exist in the community.
The performing arts are a means of cultural and social expression. The epoch in which the film
came about is discussed in the context of the movie. In addition, the thematic concerns portrayed
in the film relate to the time in which the film is produced. I will talk about the movie called
“Plane crazy” first. It impressed me a lot while I saw this in the class. I watched it several times
back to home It is a movie involves the adventures of Mickey Mouse. This style of movie can
exemplify what Benjamin said. The plot in that film is not out of date until now, the several
themes that it portrays and the way to produce this film might to have a discussion. I was
shocked by the technology at that time, it is the first Mickey Mouse cartoon but the image, the
quantity even the background music is really fluent and innovative,
According to Benjamin (2008), the artwork has always been the most loved and valued
creative work by humans in the society. The society has been able to illustrate their artwork
using many factors among them being drawings, paintings, music and the molded objects by the
talented posters. It is obvious that “Plane crazy” is a movie mainly uses painting and drawing.
This work for a long time remained relevant to only those who understood the art and could be
able to illustrate it. With the development of technology, however, the artwork has been
understood better and easily by many people across the world with or without artistic minds.
Technology has proved to the entire universe that what is produced by human beings can be
easily copied and reproduced by the same human beings in a better and more advanced way. The
reproduction of the artwork in a technological way started way back only that it was not saved on
the internet or published during those times.
Lithography has been believed to be the basic and fundamental stage of reproduction of
artwork technologically. This was the beginning of improved artwork in the society and
enhancement of understanding of the artwork by many people. This technological reproduction
of the artwork eroded the uniqueness of artwork in the society. This has caused the artwork to be
published online if the owner may want many people to access it. This has forced those talented
to always stay on the internet to get more audience for their work as expressed by Marx.
Technology has also devalued the originality of the artwork and its authenticity. This is because
each piece of artwork is nor reproduced on the internet and technologically to the point that one
may not be sure if the work is original or not.
The reproduction of artwork technologically has also changed the perception of the
people about the artwork. In “modern time”, I can see the girl sleep in the department store (her
boyfriend’s workplace) for her vanity. This is because art was nor for all people and it was
highly valued, but the current society has made it seem that art can be for all people in the
society. Ironic movies is always a way to connect the current society. So movie become not only
a kind of simple artwork. It has been changed to the social aspect with a deep meaning.
It has also forced the artists to work on their work with a lot of funds thus increasing their
intended production budgets to attract more audience. This technological production of artwork
has also caused some artists to change their artistic forms to be able to suit the changes and to
meet the expectations of the audience of the produced work. This has also narrowed the lines
between the commercialized art and the other forms of art that are not so much commercialized
to the extent that all fields of artwork should commercialized because it makes no sense to
commercialize their artwork.
The technological reproduction of artwork has made it possible for the artist to reproduce
enough prints of artwork to get to all areas they wish. The use of technology also allowed
photography of crime scenes that has been beneficial to the agents working on the cases of
crimes. This is because technology has made it possible to produce photos that are proof of the
crime and they help during investigations of the crimes in the society. The goals of technology in
artwork has been established tube the establishment of a correlation between the humanity and
nature. This has enabled the artists to produce work that is more natural and realistic in the world
of humans in their social setting. The artwork that has been reproduced technologically includes
films that have always been the acting of human society in an imaginary movie.
Photographed painting have been proved to carry more message than the photographed
images of an action of a movie. Remember that a film is acting of what happens while a drawing
is a perception of the talented hand to interpret the happening in the society. This thus makes
some artwork that has been reproduced technologically more important than others. Films have
human characters that have adapted to the character of the intended human beings then they act
presenting their behaviors and their actions. This has attracted many viewers in the current
society because they are entertaining and they capture the attention of many audiences that has
become more short-lived than before.
Films have also allowed the human beings to be replaced by other imaginary or created
objects such as robots. These objects are portrayed to possess the qualities of human beings or
even to be stronger than people. In “Plane on crazy”, I can see the represent of human being by
Micky Mouse. In my favorite “Zootopia”, different animals even represent different people in
different position and rights. This kind of replacement is using widely. “Transformers” is a set of
movies between human and robort. The main aim of films is to get the equilibrium balance
between the objects in the films and the human beings in their social world. The new technology
has even made it easier to get this clear balance for one can watch a film over and over to get a
better understanding of it. Some artworks have been reproduced in films not necessarily being
acted but others have been produced in documentary form. There are a lot of movies came from
novel or real story. For example, Pride & Prejudice(2005), Les misérables(1958) all come from
the most classical and famous novel. Hachi: A Dog’s Tale(2009) comes from the real story
happened between a man and his dog. Those filmmakers have enabled those who understands
artwork better to explain the works and to film the explanations for better and clear
understanding by many other people.
To be honest, there are also some negative effects. Technology in artwork has also
reduced the quality of artwork that used to be in large volumes collected together and keenly
evaluated before being understood. This has been reduced and changed to quality art in the new
era of technology. The artwork is now more enhanced and interpreted than it was before. The
quantity of the work is made better every given day making those artists who are still producing
their work manually to seem to be backward and their work to be rated mediocre or of less value
(Benjamin, 2008). I can see there are a lot of science fiction film use too much technology and
computer effect which lost the movie itself and make the audiences lost the interest on it.
Technological production of artwork has presented many effects to the produced work in
the society. It has enabled the art organizations to be able to meet the demands of their audience
in different localities. It has also made artwork to be spread wider and deeper within the human
race. It has also enabled the artists to create an imaginary community around their work. This has
made the artwork to be more realistic and understood by many people in the society. With the
more diverse communities being met by the new technology in art, the artwork has lost their
authenticity and originality. There is no original and true piece of art produced in the
technological era for they are just copying what was once produced (Langdon, 2014).
In conclusion, technology in the film bring audiences a lot of new experiences, we can
see the society, the irony of movie by the replacement of human being through the movie, we
can turn the “boring” novel into a “more interesting” form of art –movie. Not only that, some
magic things that won’t be happened in real life can be found in movies with the development of
technology.
