 Organizations have several options when looking to hire employees to fill their vacancies.  Many maintain a presence within colleges as a way to recruit students who are due to graduate or are looking to begin their careers prior to graduation.  Internships are made available for those wanting to test out the organization to see if they are a good fit.  Holding a job fair is another source organizations use to recruit potential candidates.  It provides an opportunity for anyone interested in joining the organization to submit their applications in person.  Additionally, organizations that do not have Human Resource Departments utilize the services of agencies that provide temporary employees.  For smaller organizations it is more cost effective to use these services than it is to establish Human Resources Departments.  Organizations also have a ready supply of employees readily available to fill vacant positions.  By filling vacancies from within, the organization already knows that the employee fits into the culture of the organization and has a record of their knowledge, skills, and abilities.
